Willa Hisle, O.D.
Dr. Willa Hisle has been practicing on the Monterey Peninsula for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of California at Davis in 1987. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1991 from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she also completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry. From Houston, Dr. Hisle taught at the University of New South Wales College of Optometry in Sydney Australia where she oversaw the Pediatric, Binocular Vision and Developmental Vision clinics.
Dr. Willa Hisle returned to California and has been serving patient's needs here on the Monterey Peninsula ever since. |
Dr. Hisle is one of the few optometrist on the Monterey Peninsula to be a Board Certified Optometrist and a diplomat of the American Board of Optometry additionally, she is glaucoma certified by the State Board of Optometry of California. She is experienced in the detection, treatment, and management of many eye conditions such as glaucoma, ocular allergies, and dry eyes.
Dr. Hisle is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and proudly served as President of the Monterey Bay Optometric Society for 2013 and 2014.
In addition to working, Dr. Hisle volunteers with the Pacific Grove Hyperbaric Chamber which treats SCUBA divers, and patients suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. She also volunteers with the Monterey Bay Aquarium as a maintenance diver and feeding show diver.
Dr. Hisle is a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, and proudly served as President of the Monterey Bay Optometric Society for 2013 and 2014.
